Love's Lesson
You came into my life as a whisper, white
noise.
You were a presence, a shadow on my wall.
A friend was made. My best friend.
All walls,all barriors crumbled.
My heart. My heart busted its chains.
soared like an eagle.
My feelings obvious. Obvious to the world.
Foolish, foolish me.
Have I not learned? I'm learning again.
A harsh reminder that happiness and
contentment will forever be an
untouchable stranger.
